The Kaleidoscope Classic is composed of 18 pieces, each of which has a unique size, shape and/or colour. The aim is to construct an 8 x 8 grid so it matches one of the puzzles printed in the instruction book, such as a red and black checkerboard or a blue, yellow and black checkerboard or a red and black elephant and many, many more!
The pieces and colouring are designed so that the accomplishment of a basic solution is relatively easy, but this is certainly not true of all challenges! The range extends from easy to extremely challenging. However, The Kaleidoscope Classic is also pleasantly open to creative impulses of the challenge seeker.
Kaleidoscope Classic makes a great travel game as all the pieces pack flat in the hard plastic case. It can even be enjoyed as a 2-3 player game using the included Enkounter puzzle cards where Kaleidoscope puzzling is combined with point scoring for the ultimate strategy game!
