Sequential Circuits Prophet 2000 sampler / analog synthesizer in AEROGLEN, Queensland for sale

Produced in 1985 as a ground-breaking 12bit sampler (the competition were all 8-bit unless you shelled out $10k for a Fairlight) by Sequential Circuits of the Prophet V synth fame. This is an extraordinary piece of kit due to the 12bit 'gritty' sampling coupled with eight (yes eight!) analogue LFOs (no other sampler has had analogue LFO combined with it as far as I know). Comes with original manual (absolutely essential - this thing is very hard to programme). Takes old style square 3.5" floppy discs for saving and loading sounds - I have a stash of them somewhere but they're still available on the internet. The 3.5" drive has been replaced with a 100% compatible one but in the wrong colour, not that it's noticeable. It has a 'classic' synth/sampler sound which is very distinctive and was used extensively by groups of the 80's and early 90's - it's not possible to faithfully reproduce the sounds of some artists without one of these, or taking samples off one of these with a modern sampler. As a bonus it has a wonderful arpeggiator... It's very heavy and solid (all metal chassis) and I prefer local pick-up but can ship if necessary. Stock photo provided - they all look the same.
